10:30am Tuesday 15th January 2013 in Sport
Will Hilton kicked two penalties and a conversion for Oxford Harlequins against Exmouth
National 3 South West
OXFORD Harlequins suffered late agony in losing 26-18 at home to second-placed Exmouth and are now 19 points from safety.
Having led for most of the game, Quins fell behind 19-18 with four minutes to go.
And as they pushed for victory in the final minute, Exmouth bagged a breakaway try and conversion that denied Quins even a bonus point.
Full back Will Hilton gave Quins the lead on 16 minutes.
Although Exmouth replied with a converted try, the hosts led 18-7 at the break.
Hilton converted a try from lock Mike Forde and added a penalty.
Just before half-time, Exmouth dropped the ball as they went for a quick throw-in and Quins centre Harry Whittington kicked ahead before winning the race to touch down.
Exmouth added three tries in the second half, two converted.
Dave Bargent led the way with a brace, while Naca Kinikinilau and Jack Westlake also crossed over and Andrew Powell converted three.
