CAPTAIN Jon Mills pledged himself to London Welsh for the forseeable future after he and prop Arthur Joly signed new two-year deals.

Mills, 28, who represented Wales up to under 21 level, has been an inspirational leader during Welsh’s debut Aviva Premiership season, while Joly, 24, is seen as one for the future.

“I want to stay at London Welsh for as long as I can” said back-row/lock forward Mills, who has played 162 times since joining the Exiles from Llanelli Scarlets in 2007.

“I’ve been here for a long time already and I look forward to more success in the future.

“To see the club where it is now, its vision for the future and the calibre of players we have, is fantastic.

“We now want to really establish ourselves in the Aviva Premiership – that’s the next challenge.

“At the beginning of the season people said we wouldn’t get a point, but the work-rate and the hunger of the boys has been tremendous.

“It’s been fantastic to be a part of that.”

Frenchman Joly has appeared 12 times for Welsh since joining from Bourgoin last summer.

“I’m very happy to stay here for two more years,” he said.

“I’m very happy to continue to work with this team and with Lyn Jones.”
