LONDON Welsh head coach Lyn Jones is unsure whether he will boost his squad further after signing Gonzalo Tiesi.

Welsh have until March 1 to finalise their playing ranks for the remainder of the Aviva Premiership season.

Asked about other signings, Jones (pictured) said: “I am not sure, we will have to see what happens.”

Of Tiesi, he added: “He is strong and has got an edge about him.”

The Exiles host Newport Gwent Dragons in the LV= Cup tomorrow, which will be their competitive match against Welsh opponents since securing promotion.

Jones played down the significance of a Dragons v Dragons clash, but said the fixture still had an important role to play.

“It doesn’t matter at all,” said Jones. “It is a game for the players and not the coaches.

“It is an opportunity for players to stake a claim for the Premiership.

“We fielded a mixed team against Quins and are doing so again.

“We want to win and play well, but the thing that overshadows it is the Aviva Premiership and Leicester on February 9.”
