RUGBY UNION: Henley drop to third

HENLEY Hawks slipped to third in National 2 South without playing.

Redruth’s 46-17 victory over Barking saw them leapfrog Hawks to go into the play-off position.

Henley have their destiny in their own hands as they still have to play leaders Worthing and Redruth.

Banbury Bulls gained a losing bonus point after a battling 22-15 defeat at promotion-chasing Droitwich in Midlands 2 West South.

Gosford All Blacks fought hard in losing 30-0 at home to BB&O Premier Division leaders Stow-on-the-Wold.

Fly half Harry Sutton was Gosford’s man-of-the-match, while No 8 Dan Hughes was yellow-carded.

James Holmes (2), Ted Holmes (2), Matt Green and Lewis Chapman scored Stow’s tries.
