An Ingrow resident who survived a heart attack last year is organising a charity football tournament in aid of the British Heart Foundation.
Darren Gilmartin, 43, whose father died of a heart attack, said he hopes to raise more than £500.
The five-a-side tournament will feature 12 teams and will take place at Marley Stadium on Sunday, May 19.
The competition is expected to continue until 4pm, and will be followed by a raffle and auction at the Great Northern Pub, in Ingrow.
A framed copy of John Lennon’s birth certificate entry is up for auction, while the raffle items will include signed shirts from Leeds Football Club, Bradford City Football Club and Keighley Cougars.
The main raffle prize will be a caravan holiday at Primrose Valley, in Filey. Contact Mr Gilmartin on 078175 99017.
