Simon Aries produced the highest break of the season with a magnificent 75 for Fieldside in their Gentworks Oxford League match away to Abingdon Conservative Club.
But his super run did not help either himself or his side as the hosts won the match 3-0.
Aries (-70) produced breaks of 75 and 37, but still lost 200-193 against Lee Pratley (+50) on the handicap.
Matt Bramall (+10) Gordon Cook (+50) completed the clean sweep for Abingdon, who top Division 1 at the halfway stage of the season.
Ashton are second after wins from Pete Fenn and Shane Chambers saw them home 2-1 at Eynsham.
