OXFORD Rugby League have signed two more players as they build towards the new Kingstone Press Championship One season.
Centre Yannic Parker has joined from University of Gloucestershire All Golds, with Oxford Cavaliers hooker Wes Newton also making the switch.
Parker, who is also a Wales student international, said: “I am looking forward to building on Oxford’s brilliant start to Championship One.
“I believe come the end of the season we will be in the play-offs and, hopefully with the additions made to the squad, we can push ourselves all the way.”
Newton has previously appeared for Harlequins RL Under 20s and Great Britain Student Pioneers.
He said: “I am looking to try and give Tony Benson a few headaches in team selection by putting myself out there and improving all aspects of my game.
“Playing regularly in the first team would be a great achievement for me and a challenge I look forward to facing.”
