8:00am Tuesday 4th February 2014 in Sport
Henley Hawks’ National 1 relegation fears increased with a 25-10 defeat at Richmond.
Hawks are now just two points above the drop zone, with a trip to leaders Doncaster their next fixture.
Henley wing Martin Nutt was denied a try before fly half James Comben put them ahead with a penalty.
Two Rob Kirby penalties gave Richmond the lead before Martin Freeman went over and Kirby converted for 13-3.
Hawks then lost hooker Liam Dwyer (ankle) and debutant flanker Gus Jones (head) to injury.
Richmond sealed victory with two tries in ten minutes after the break.
Wings Rob Alexander and Will Browne went over, with Kirby converting the latter.
Hawks raised their game and Richmond flanker JP Attlee was yellow-carded for coming in at the side of a ruck.
In the dying moments, the ball was worked to wing Liam O’Neill, who burst through from 40 metres to score a try, which he converted himself.
