Harristown, trained by Charlie Longsdon at Chipping Norton, defied his 20-1 starting price to land the 32Red Juvenile Hurdle at Huntingdon yesterday.
Kielan Woods got a good leap out of his mount at the last flight, while Baradari blundered, handing the advantage to Longsdon’s charge who won by a length.
It was the second time Longsdon had won the race for the Chatteris Fen Trophy, having saddled Songe to claim victory six years ago.
