GOSFORD All Blacks are two wins away from Twickenham after beating Chesham 52-24 in their BB&O Premier Division and cup double header.

Victory earned Gosford the Southern Counties Senior Vase and a national quarter-final at home to Gloucestershire’s Newent on Saturday, March 15.

Gosford led 10-0 after Tim Ellis converted Eugene Griffin’s try and added a penalty.

Chesham replied with a try from Dan Cody, converted by Nick Jones.

The hosts turned on the style, with Rhys Hayward, Jack Briggs (2), Dan Hughes and Stephen Edwards going over and Ellis converting three.

Matt Reynolds scored for Chesham in the midst of the Gosford onslaught.

Jack Davies went over twice for Chesham in the second half, Jones converting one.

But Patrick Siret completed Gosford’s try tally, with Ellis slotting two penalties.

Victory maintained fourth-placed Gosford’s outside hopes of promotion, but Bicester stayed second after hammering Aylesbury Athletic 56-12.

No 8 and captain Dan Spencer led the way with a hat-trick of tries, while wings Dave Aslett and Matt Duncalf added braces.

Full back Dickie Walsh and flankers Matt Dye and Niall Morrow completed the ten-try haul, centre Steve Miller converting three.

Chipping Norton won 32-26 at Farnham Royal, while Littlemore lost 41-24 away to Hungerford.

Darren Clark kicked 15 points as Faringdon beat visitors Berkshire Shire Hall 35-9 in the BB&O Championship.

Shire Hall led via three penalties, but Gabriel Wr-ight, Will Thompson, Sam Holyland and Mark Viner went over for Faringdon, with Clark converting three and adding four penalties.

Leaders Abingdon won 61-18 at Kingsclere.

A try from Ollie Wright, converted by Andy Lee, was in vain as Harwell lost 31-7 at home to Aldermaston.
