West Ilsley trainer Mick Channon believes Crazee Diamond is a sprinter to follow after she opened her account at Wolverhampton yesterday.
The three-year-old filly only had to be shaken up by Willy Twiston-Davies before romping home three and a quarter lengths clear of Jan Van Hoof in a six-furlong maiden stakes.
Sent off a 9-4 chance, the daughter of Rock Of Gibraltar was fulfilling the promise of her second at the track last month.
And Channon said: “She’s all about speed and will be ideal over six or five furlongs.
“There’s very few races over five in the book at present, but I wouldn’t hesitate in dropping her back in trip.
“It would be good to have a proper specialist over the minimum (trip).”
