Bampton’s Alex Dew secured a double podium in the opening round of the BMW Compact Cup Championship at Donington Park.
With an entry of 47 cars in this year’s competition, the round was split into three races, with each driver competing in two of them.
And the Led Lenser team driver was smartly off the grid to take third in race one behind winner Stuart Voyce and Steve Roberts.
He bettered that effort in race two, again showing impressive speed to finish second to David Drinkwater.
Dew said “I’m over the moon with not only the result, but also the pace we showed throughout the weekend.
“It was a true testament to all the hard work and support over the winter months, and something we’re going to build on.”
Dew is now looking forward to round two at Brands Hatch on Sunday, April 27.
