John Simmons has finally won the Abingdon & District Winter League’s singles crown again after 14 years of trying.
Simmons, who last won the trophy in the 1996-97 season, repeated the feat with a 3-1 victory over organiser Anton Woolloff 3-1 in the final.
He also helped his Spread Eagle team win the threes title.
Woolloff won the pairs with Terry Downes.
