MIKE Stevens is promising fans a new experience when they watch London Welsh tomorrow.

Stevens, who joined Welsh as chief executive on Monday, has been spearheading their off-field push for the play-off clash with Leeds Carnegie.

The club launched a kids for £1 ticket offer, which ended last night, and are laying on a fan zone and a real ale bar, plus gifts for children.

“We believe we are catering for all ages,” said Stevens “My message is ‘come down and sample the new London Welsh matchday experience’.

“It’s about people coming down, having fun and being in the right position to cheer the boys on when they come out.

“With kids only a £1, we think we have priced the game very well.”

Welsh’s crowds have all been below the 2,000-mark this season, and Stevens said they did not have a particular target for tomorrow.

“We are after as big a crowd as we can get and as loud as we can get,” he said.

The ticket office will be open at 10am tomorrow.
