JIMMY Phillips wants leaders Banbury to regain their early season form when they visit Burnham in Division 1 tomorrow.
Banbury won their opening three matches before the next two were abandoned due to wet pitches and then they experienced a frustrating draw with Aston Rowant.
Captain Phillips said: “Hopefully, we can pick up the momentum again.
“We have now got five games in eight days, so we will be making up for lost time.
“We want to get back out there and get back on track.”
Wicket-keeper/batsman Jonny Cater will play for Banbury 2nd due to teaching commitments.
Dan Harris returns, while Ed Phillips takes the gloves.
Nick Ferraby replaces Miles Hammond, who has school duties, as Aston Rowant host Gerrards Cross.
Captain Wesley Morrick may also miss the match due to work commitments, so Thad Cooper is on standby.
Oxford will be without last week’s hero Brad Sutherland at Harefield.
Sutherland scored 92 as a makeshift opener in the victory over Burnham, but is at a wedding this time.
Alex Morgan also drops out, but Andrew Clough, Francois Vainker and Dan Bowyer come into a squad of 12.
“Brad used to open the batting in New Zealand and has been badgering me for a long time about that,” said skipper Ian Crosby.
“He proved himself right. It’s a real shame to miss him this week.”
Jeremy Kirby, Jack Davies, Jamie Nelson and Jason Hunt come in for Charlie Brain, Joe Barrett, Calvin Dickinson and Graham Newhook as Shipton-under-Wychwood visit Dinton in Division 2.
Shaun Miller continues as captain, with Simon Hole attending a wedding having been at a stag do last week.
Hole said: “We have just got to start scoring runs. If we can score somewhere near 200, I would back our bowlers to get us out of any hole.”
Horspath name an unchanged side for their home game against Chesham, with captain Will Eason buoyed by a strong display in losing against leaders Reading.
“We have proved to ourselves that we can compete with the top teams in the league,” he said.
“We have now got all four teams that came up with us. If we can grab a few wins, then we can cement our place in this division.”
Ian Bryan returns in place of Josh Garrett as Great & Little Tew visit basement boys Finchampstead.
Tew are only nine points off the bottom themselves, but skipper Andy Harris said: “I am not reading too much into the table at this stage.”
