OXFORD Hawks ladies were narrowly beaten in friendlies with National League sides Slough and East Grinstead.

Becky Odlin scored in their 2-1 defeat against hosts Slough, with Welsh international keeper Ria Male shining on her Hawks debut.

Kathryn Poulter netted in a 3-1 loss to East Grinstead.

Hawks hold an open day at their Banbury Road North ground on Sunday for juniors (9.30am-1pm) and adults (1.30-3.30pm).
