Oxford City Stars have ex-player Andy Cox back in their ranks when they host Solent Devils in English National League South Division 1 tomorrow (6.15).

The veteran, who has made 240 games appearances for Stars over 12 years, now plays for Slough Jets in the division below Oxford, but has joined on a temporary basis as part of a two-way deal.

Under league rules, senior players can turn out up to three times for a team in a different division, should their parent club agree.

Cox is one of two temporary signings Stars have made with 18-year-old Zach Dolphin also returning.

The teenager, who played 16 games for Stars last season, now turns out for Bristol Pitbulls in the division below.

Oxford have recruited the pair in a bid to help plug the gaps caused by injuries.

Stars are without long-term injury absentee Mason Wild, Dax Hedges (trapped nerve), and netminder Ryan Bainborough, who is also injured.

Stars will be out for revenge after being thrashed 10-2 away to Solent earlier this month.
