A youthful Banbury Bulls side fell to a 24-3 defeat at home to unbeaten leaders Old Laurentians in Midlands 2 West South.

Banbury opened the scoring through a penalty from debutant full back Alex Caviezel Cox.

On the stroke of half-time, Ian Wallis skipped through the Bulls’ defence and Rich Parker forced his way over to put the visitors in front. Dan O’Brien converted.

Banbury fell further behind to a try from a driving maul, with O’Brien converting.

Reiss Boon then scored in the corner for the visitors, before Andy Orbison intercepted a pass and ran 40 metres to score.

The home side rallied, but to no avail.
