OXFORD Saints were beaten 53-28 in their first American Football pre-season game of 2015 at Sussex Thunder.
There was nothing between the teams at the end of the second period, two touchdowns from Troy Bryan and one from Kev Brooks helping Oxford to draw level at 20-20.
Saints then introduced a host of new faces and the game slipped away.
Brooks scored a second touchdown, and Laurent Antoine went over for the additional two points, but their hosts ran out easy winners.
