Oxford's Matt Chapman finished 11th and 16th in the second race meeting of the Ginetta Junior Championship at Donington Park over the weekend.
After qualifying ninth, the 15-year-old climbed into the top six on the first lap of Saturday’s race after avoiding a multi-car skirmish at McLeans.
But contact on the second lap saw him excluded and the Total Control Racing driver slipped to 22nd.
However, Chapman charged up to 12th, but was dropped back to 16th by officials who ruled he had gained an unfair advantage on the recovery drive.
