Oxfordshire crashed to a five-wicket defeat against Hertfordshire in the ECB Women’s County Championship at Fairfield Park, Letchworth.

Oxon collapsed to 101 all out after being put in to bat in the Division 3 clash.

Abie Currie (31) was the only player to make double figures as Hayley Arrol (4-21) and Chloe Frame (3-21) did the damage.

Oxon made Herts battle for the runs, but the hosts eventually got over the line at 102-5 from 31 overs.

OXFORDSHIRE produced an excellent bowling display to secure a 45-run victory over Warwickshire in the ECB Women's Under 13 County League at Rugby School.

Having been able to post only 114 after electing to bat, Oxon then shot Warwickshire out for 69 in the A Division Group 2 encounter.

Opener Georgia Brown (31) top-scored for the visitors as Grace Ballinger took 3-15.

But Lily Priscott (4-12) and Brown (3-9) then sent Warwickshire tumbling to 69 all out.

OPENER Emily Day hit an unbeaten half-century as Oxford recorded an 84-run victory over Moreton in the Thames Valley Women’s League.

After electing to bat, Oxford posted 183-5 off their 35 overs.

Day’s unbeaten 62 was backed up by Lillian Duffield (24) and Paula Matthews (21), with Georgia Howarth taking 2-36 for Moreton.

Howarth then hit 30 in Moreton’s 99-8, as Ridhi Kashyap took 2-22.

Charlbury had a comfortable win over North Maidenhead.

OXFORD Downs won the Oxfordshire round of the Under 11 Lady Taverners' competition at Freeland with victory over Aston Rowant.

The softball competition with the “pairs” format saw the sides play a two-match rubber.

Downs won the first match by one run, before taking the second by posting 302 in reply to Aston Rowant’s 287.

Phoebe Maslen and Tash Miller each made 15 not out for Downs, both innings including a six.

Maslen also took two wickets, plus a brilliant diving catch.

For Aston Rowant, Anabelle Asher made 34 and Aimee Diab 16 not out, while Saskia Driver-Jones took three wickets.
