GUY Nicholl scored a hat-trick of tries as Grove crossed eight times to beat Windsor 48-28 at Cane Lane.

The sides shared 12 tries in the South West 1 East clash as Grove stretched their winning run to three matches.

Nicholl's try and a Danny Ferguson conversion handed Grove a 7-0 lead on five minutes, but Windsor immediately levelled.

And with still less than ten minutes on the clock, scrum half Joe Chilvers touched down.

Ferguson added the extras to make it 14-7.

Rory Gratwohl crashed over for an unconverted try, before the visitors struck back to take the score to 19-14.

Windsor then took the lead with a converted try, but the hosts led 26-21 at the break when Ferguson crossed and added the extras.

Unconverted scores from Ben Law and Nicholl added to Grove's tally, before Windsor picked up their four-try bonus point.

But the hosts were in control and Ferguson claimed his second try and Nicholl completed his hat-trick.

Ferguson converted as Grove secured victory.

A Harvey Dodman-Edwards treble helped Witney beat Trowbridge 59-17.

David Davis kicked an early penalty for the visitors, but two three-pointers from George Lewis gave Witney a 6-3 lead after 15 minutes.

David Finlay crossed for the visitors and Ashley Chalk converted, but they had Sean Jones sin-binned.

Witney took advantage, scoring three tries, one converted, through Louie Collins and Matt Clarke (2).

Lewis converted his own score to make it 30-10.

Dodman-Edwards then streaked through on two occasions, before Robbie Richardson added to the scoreline.

Lewis added the extras twice to make it 49-10.

Trowbridge's Davis was binned, before Witney's Arron Lambourne crossed.

The visitors fought back and Chalk scored and converted to make it 54-17, but Dodman-Edwards had the last say, running through to score his hat-trick.

Oxford Harlequins' unbeaten home record remains intact after an 18-6 win over Newbury Blues.

Ryan Trevaskis kicked an early penalty for the visitors, before Huw Dimond scored an unconverted try for Quins.

Two Sam Watkinson penalties, sandwiched by a Trevaskis three-pointer, saw Quins lead 11-6.

And they made certain of victory when Axel Poulet scored in the corner and Watkinson added the extras.
