DETA Hedman crashed out of the BDO World Championship in the first round after a 2-1 defeat to former Oxfordshire teammate Casey Gallagher at the Lakeside.
The number one seed missed several opportunties to win the match in the second set.
Gallagher took advantage to level and knocked out the three-time finalist by winning the decider 3-0.
Hedman took a tight first set 3-2 and the World No 2 opened up a two-leg lead in the second.
But Gallagher hit back to level, and when Hedman twice failed to hit double one to win the match, she was made to pay when her rival took the set with a 117 checkout.
The momentum was with the 20-year-old and she opened up a two-leg lead in the final set.
And Gallagher hit double seven to secure victory.
