ALAN Steele finished well clear of the field when North Oxford AS fished for the Victory Cup on their Wolfson College stretch of a coloured and pacy River Cherwell.
Fishing bread, Steele landed 17lb 12oz 0drms of bream and roach to take the honours.
Dave Scott-Picton had roach and perch for second spot on 4.2.8.
In third was Steve Wildman who had a single roach for 1.13.0.
THE Oxford Mania International Lure Fishing competition will be held tomorrow, at the White House pub, Oxford, starting at 6.30am.
This prestigious competition has attracted 100 competitors plus guests from the Angling Trust and English Angling (EA).
