OXFORDSHIRE suffered a blow to their promotion hopes when they could only draw 18-18 at home to Cornwall.
With rivals West Midlands and London winning, Oxon have slipped to fourth in the BDO Inter-Counties Championship Division 1 table.
The hosts were always fighting a rearguard battle after their Ladies’ B team lost 5-1.
Oxon Men’s B team, led by man-of-the match Terry Wood, cut the overnight deficit to 10-8 with a 7-5 success.
The hosts drew level when their Ladies’ A team triumphed 4-2, thanks to wins from Emma Everett, lady-of-the-match Deta Hedman, Sandra Cox and Gina Freshwater.
The Men’s A teams drew 6-6, with Oxon’s wins coming from Pete Hall, Ade Larner, Sean Holley, man-of-the-match Stephen Wright (28.10), Preben Krabben and Geordie Grant.
Both sides picked up one bonus point.
