SASKIA Mohan and Eloise Burden, both 13, shone at the Pony of the Year Show at Bury Farm in Bucks.

Mohan, from Kirtlington, came fourth in the Intro qualifier and third in Intro Grand Prix final.

Burden, from Bicester, came fifth and sixth in the Novice qualifiers and overall fifth in the Novice Grand Prix, also winning the leading rider of the four-day competition.

It has been a good year for the duo, who both ride for Bicester and Warden Hill Pony Club where they have trained hard with their BSJA coach Mandy Mcglynn.

Last month, in the National Dengie Championships, Mohan was reserve champion in the 85cm class on her pony Tiperonic.

Then in the Winter Bluechip Championships at Hartpury, Burden came 4th (out of 131) in the Discovery finals on her pony Beech Hill Arthur, while Mohan was second in the JC/JD Open.
