Eddie Pepperell made his first halfway cut in an American major championship when he shot a one-under par 71 in the second round of the US Open at Erin Hills.
After 36 holes, the Abingdon golfer stands on a one-under-par total of 141, comfortably inside the cutline.
Playing near immaculate golf from tee to green, Pepperell had four birdies and two bogeys in the first eight holes to go two under par for the tournament.
He opened with a bogey five at the par-four tenth, but instantly replied with a birdie three on the 11th.
He slipped up again with a five at the 12th, but birdies at the 13th and 14th completed an eventful opening four holes.
His first par of the day came at the par four 15th and another followed at the next.
A fourth birdie at the 17th took him to two under par and this was followed by a par five at the long 18th hole to take him to the turn in two-under par 34.
Steady Eddie parred the first three holes of his back nine but bogeyed the fourth - his 13th - to go back to one under.
Pepperell followed that reverse with pars at the last five holes to finish with a 71, which put him inside the top 30.
