OXFORDSHIRE’S Bradley Smith suffered more disappointment after crashing out of the Dutch MotoGP in Assen today.
The Red Bull KTM rider, from Forest Hill, was only declared fit to ride earlier in the week after damaging his little finger when coming off his bike a fortnight ago.
Smith had made a good start in Holland and was looking to challenge the
top-eight, but ran wide at turn seven and crashed out.
He was, however, unscathed after his spill.
Smith has a chance to get back in track in Sachsenring, Germany next week – the halfway point of the season.
Valentino Rossi won yesterday’s race.
