TOM Thornley returned to his former club Bicester Blue Fins for a masterclass with some of their swimmers.
The 17-year-old, who was a Target Tokyo finalist at the 2016 Olympic trials, provided members with tips on how to improve their backstroke.
Thornley, a county and regional record holder in 2014, is studying for his A-Levels at Millfield School, Somerset, where he has a swimming scholarship.
And he was invited back to Blue Fins by head coach Craig Oliver to head up training sessions for 78 children and the masters group.
Thornley said: “It’s been amazing to see the potential here at Bicester Blue Fins and see how much the team has grown.
“I hope meeting someone the children can connect with has shown that with hard work and determination their swim goals and dreams are achievable.”
