JACK Taylor and James Neal both scored a hat-trick of tries as Wheatley clinched their first win in style, beating a depleted Crowthorne 77-0 at home.

Facing a side with only 13 men, they led 7-0 at the break, thanks to Neal’s try, in the Berks, Bucks & Oxon Premier clash.

But Wheatley ran in ten tries in the second half, with Taylor (3), Neal (2), Jordan Hook, Joe Hobdell, Nick Banton, Dan Bland and Simon Chadbone going over. Arron Laman converted all the tries.

Elsewhere, Littlemore also earned their first victory, beating Chesham 3-0.

Abingdon fell to an 18-17 defeat at Bletchley, while Didcot lost 30-24 at Slough.

Stephen Moran, Andrew Cook and Joe Leverson scored tries, with Josh Witts kicking nine points.

In the Championship, Ali Gibb and Andrew Hoggins crossed for hat-tricks as Oxford triumphed 64-6 at Faringdon.

Josh Jelfs, Shannon Pearson, Karl Crockford and Danny Williams also scored tries. Thom Murtons converted six times.

Harwell drew 13-13 at Farnham Royal.

The visitors led 8-6, thanks to Andy Lee’s try and penalty.

Lewis Giddings added a further try for Harwell after the break.

Chipping Norton beat Phoenix 45-3.

WALLINGFORD are still searching for their first victory of the season after falling to a 35-17 defeat at home to Buckingham in Southern Counties North.

Gosford All Blacks were also beaten, but picked up a bonus point in a 20-17 loss at Stow-on-the-Wold.
