BRADLEY Smith hopes to end the MotoGP season on a high note tomorrow with his third points-scoring finish in a row.
The Red Bull KTM Factory Racing rider heads to Valencia hoping to build on a positive run of results for the Austrian team, who are in their rookie season.
Smith, from Forest Hill, has scored ten points across the last two rounds in Australia and Malaysia, having only picked up 14 from his previous 12 races.
His upturn in form follows the Austrian team’s conformation he would remain as a race rider for the 2018 season alongside Pol Espargaro.
The 26-year-old’s 12th place finish in Malaysia a fortnight ago proved particularly pleasing as he narrowed the gap to riders in the podium positions.
Smith said: “I was as close to the winner in terms of time as I have been in the wet, so we’re going in the right direction for that kind of set up for the coming races.
“It’s been a great three weeks of racing and I’ve really enjoyed getting back into a normal place that I believe I should be.”
