REIGNING champion Mark Trafford has the Oxford & District League’s men’s individual title in his sights, writes PETE EWINS.
The Oracle player defeated Masons Chris Bateman 2-0 (23,880-4,210) in the last four.
Trafford will now face teammate Ian Gordon in the final.
In the ladies competition, Oracle’s Pauline Withey beat Sami Baden 2-0 (7,010-3,130) in the semi-finals, setting up a showdown with Donnington’s Jenny Florey,
Bob Parsons, of Democrats, booked a Never Won Cup final clash with Berinsfield’s John Boal, beating Headington’s Roger Tomlin 8,890-3,949.
Masons Dave Rose earned a 2-0 victory (8,500-1,340) against Berinsfield’s Phil McFarland to reach the Division 1 singles final.
He will face teammate Alan Lowe who beat Richard Garrett 5,450-4,660 on aggregate.
