BEN Goodall shone for Great Britain when winning gold and silver at the Scalabis Cup in Portugal.
The Wantage tumbler was part of a three-man side which dominated in Santarem.
Goodall took gold with GB teammates William Breslin and Dominic Mensah, before clinching individual silver.
He needed to finish inside the top eight in the preliminary round to reach the final, with scores counting towards the team trophy.
Goodall completed his highest difficulty run to date with a tariff of 8.4.
A double-twisting, double-straight somersault was followed by a triple-twisting double somersault which helped him post 35.4 – the highest score on the first day.
As a result Goodall was third heading into the final, helping GB, who filled the top three positions, land team gold by more than 40 points.
The youngster moved up to second after the first run and held onto the position to clinch silver.
Goodall now bids to qualify for this year’s World Championships in Russia when he competes in the 17-21 age group at the British Championships in September.
