MASONS Arms produced a superb display to win 5-1 at home to Gladiators Club in the Oxford & District League, writes PETE EWINS.
Two wins apiece for Martyn Wood and Mick Murphy, plus a victory from Alan Lowe put the home side 5-0 in front.
Dave Jarman saved a whitewash after beating Lowe in the final leg.
West Oxford Democrats Club shared the points in a 3-3 home draw against Vikings.
Terry Green (5,460) and John Patey (9,170 & 6,170) starred for the home side, with Sean Stratford on song for the visitors.
Stratford won both legs with a total of 10,020, while Vinny Brown’s 5,860 ensured a share of the spoils.
Leaders Berinsfield could only draw 3-3 in a low-scoring game at home to Donnington Club.
