Oxford United could be down in third place by the time they face Tamworth on Sunday.
Luton Town will leap-frog the U’s into second spot if they win at Ebbsfleet tomorrow, although Oxford will have three games in hand.
And if Rushden win at Altrincham, the title chase could become very much a four-horse race, with Diamonds then facing Chris Wilder’s men next Webnesday.
Who has the best run-in of these four clubs?
It’s hard to tell, because so many opponents could potentially be fighting for a play-off place or striving to avoid relegation.
And different clubs sinply fare better against different opposition.
For example, Luton have nine games left.
But while Oxford took 12 points out of 15 from the matches that correspond to those that Luton have left, Stevenage managed only 11 out of 24.
Similarly, of the matches Oxford haveleft, Stevenage have taken 17 points out of 27 from the corresponding fixtures.
Yet Luton managed to amass 19 out of 21.
The turn of this month will be key though.
Oxford have Stevenage (a), Hayes & Yeading (a) and Salisbury (h) in quick succession, while Stevenage face Crawley (a), Oxford (h) and Luton (h).
