Oxford United stay third after Tamworth draw

Oxford United's winless run stretched to four games as they were held 0-0 at Tamworth.

It means Chris Wilder's team stay third in the table, a point behind Luton, who won 6-1 at Ebbsfleet on Saturday, and three points behind leaders Stevenage.

The U's no longer have a game in hand on Stevenage, though they do have two games in hand on Luton.

Stevenage visit struggling Grays on Tuesday night.

James Constable returned from an ankle injury and was unlucky not to add to his goals tally, one brilliant left-foot volley in the first half met with a superb save.

From the body language of the majority of players suggests all is not well in the dresssing room.
This is not just a dip in form something is very wrong.
The fans turn up every week which is more than can be said of the players.
Has the manager lost the plot and the respect of the players????
Is Murray fit?
Where were Midson, Cook and Chapman?
What has happened to our creative midfield.
Why do we no longer have any width in our play.

Just my opinion.

Although I cannot fathom out why on earth STFC would want to spend his time reading the oxford mail, I fear he is probably right.

Yesterday's performance was dour and I could still be stood there now and don’t think we would of scored….all against a set of players who some play for nothing (if you believe the program).

Agree with 12th Man why is CW leaving out Midson (a contracted player) and playing short term loan players ?.....Is Jack another he has 'fallen out' with ?

Batt has been awful for weeks and is not same player we saw early in the season rampaging down the flank…..Where was Chapman ?

A must win game and we start with no width and one up front and hoof balls to a centre half who makes Crouch look like a dwarf…..if we did our homework then perhaps Jack may of given him something to think about.

Lets hope we can keep the score respectable at Stevenage and use April to get some form and a settled side together as it’s the play offs for us and I cannot see us beating any of those sides over two legs on current form.
