Former Oxford United player Craig Nelthorpe has been told he could face jail.
The left winger, who is now at Gateshead, has appeared at York Crown Court, along with his former York City teammates Michael Gash, Michael Rankine and Michael Ingham, over a late-night brawl in York 13 months ago.
The fight was caught on CCTV, and Nelthorpe and Gash, who pleaded guilty to affray, were told that “all sentencing options, including custodial, would be open” when they return for sentencing on October 6.
