Oxford United boss Wilder has ensured the big freeze hasn’t hit preparations for tomorrow’s game against Barnet.
The players have been training on the new 3G pitch at Oxford City.
“It’s a late winter and we’ve been pretty blessed with the weather this year,” said Wilder.
“But we’ll prepare right – Oxford City have been great to us, so we’ve trained as normal.
“We have that good relationship with them that we really do appreciate.”
As you can see from Denis Kennedy’s picture, taken earlier this week, United’s groundstaff have covered the pitch in the hope of keeping off the frost.
The club have said that the covers will stay on until tomorrow morning and no pitch inspection is planned.
