One thing on a serious note - why does it so long for your players to recover from injuries.... last season the Poxford treatment room must have been bulging at the seams , and some it would appear are still not ready. Every team has a 'sicknote' but not half a squad of them :o)

I don't think you have a clue KC, and have a hunch you don't even go out to watch them. If you do you certainly don't add anything of substance to the football conversation on here for sure - ever !.

Wilder set to shuffle pack for US finale

Chris Wilder is planning to shuffle the pack tonight as Oxford United look to finish their US tour on a high.

The U’s play a New England All Star team from the Premier Development League at Portsmouth High School (kick-off 12am UK time) in the third and final game of their trip.

The opposition will be the most skilful side the tourists have faced so far, but the hosts rarely play together.

Several United players completed 90 minutes against both Seacoast United Mariners and in Friday night’s 1-1 draw with Seacoast United Phantoms last week, so will be given a rest.

It means a chance for those players who have not featured so far to gain some valuable game time.

Jon-Paul Pittman is likely to make his first appearance in pre-season after recovering from a hamstring problem which kept him out during the second half of last season.

The three triallists – defenders Alex Evans and Ryan Tafazoli, plus midfielder Courtney Harris – will start in what could be their final chance to impress Wilder.

Log on to www.oxfordmail.co.uk from 11.30pm for live updates from the game, or visit @oxfordmailoufc on Twitter.
