HENLEY Hawks went top of the table after a 41-15 home victory over Lydney.
They had to do it the hard way after Lydney took a 12-0 lead, thanks to tries from wing Alex Hall, converted by Russell Curtis, and lock James McMahon.
Hawks hit back when prop Ant Brennan went over from 20 metres, but Russell then slotted a penalty.
Henley started to impose themselves and led 19-15 at the break, with prop Dai Maddocks and fly half James Comben scoring tries and Comben converting both.
Flanker Matt Payne grabbed try No 4, with Comben converting and slotting a penalty.
Lydney had replacement Luke Kell sin-binned before Henley sub Will Woodward finished off Comben’s break to make it 34-15.
Replacement wing Richard Briggs produced a solo swerving effort for Henley’s sixth try, Comben converting to take the score to 41-15.
Chinnor had a week off as it was the day they had been due to host Rugby Lions, who were kicked out of the league due to financial problems.
