Oxfordshire will return to Aston Rowant for a Unicorns Counties Championship fixture for the first time in 17 years next summer.

Luke Ryan’s side will take on Dorset at the Butts Ways ground on June 21-23.

It will be the first Championship match at the venue since August 1998 when Herefordshire were the visitors.

Oxon were due to face Herefordshire in a Championship match at Aston Rowant in 2013, only for the game to be switched to Banbury after a row over the cost of staging the game.

Latest Sport news

Oxfordshire’s two other home Championship games are against Wales MC at Great & Little Tew from July 5-7 and against Cornwall at Banbury from August 2-4.

The two semi-final winners then meet later in the day.

The three best performing group winners go forward to finals day at Banbury on July 12, with the two worst performing group winners battling it out on June 28 for the remaining place.
