ENGLAND paceman Steve Finn is one of three Test players included in a strong Middlesex squad for their three-day match against Oxford MCC Universities, which starts in The Parks today.
Finn, a member of Peter Moores’s squad which underperformed in the recent World Cup, is joined in the line-up by Sam Robson and Nick Compton, both of whom have opened the batting for England in the last three years.
It will be a tough test for the student side following their innings defeat by Worcestershire at the weekend, when seamer Jack Shantry produced match figures of 10-26.
Oxford coach Graham Charlesworth makes just one change to the line-up bringing in the 6ft 5in Sussex-contracted fast bowler Abi Sakande, who missed the Worcestershire game because of injury.
Sakande, who is on Sussex’s books will lead the home attack.
Charlesworth said: “I was a bit disappointed by our display against Worcester.
“Jack Shantry, who bowls left-arm seamer proved a real handful and we never got to grips with him.”
