Challow & Childrey kept their nerve to gain a surprise three-wicket win at home to Shipton-under-Wychwood in the Oxfordshire quarter-finals of the Davidstow Village Cup.
Chasing the Home Counties Premier League club’s 173-6, Challow squeezed home with four balls to spare, thanks to a quickfire unbeaten 27 from all-rounder Chris Jones.
Earlier, Pat Bryan had made a solid 43 for Challow, with Harry Whitehead (28) and Chris Warboys (22) providing good support to edge them closer to their target as Jason Hunt took 3-28 and Shaun Miller 2-25.
Shipton had elected to bat first, and opener Andrew Hemming took advantage with an unbeaten 77.

But spinners Joe Harris and Ryan Gordon, who both took 1-30, kept things tight.
It was only a late flourish from Charlie Brain (21no) which saw Shipton to a competitive total.
Challow are now at home to Cumnor, who were handed a walkover by Sandford St Martin, in the county semi-finals on Sunday, May 31.
Oxford Downs also caused an upset with a comfortable win at home to Tiddington.
Downs’ total of 187-7 proved too many for Oxon’s 2013 village champions, who crumbled in the face of an inspired spell from Nick Rivett (3-24).
Downs now visit last year’s county winners and national runners-up Great & Little Tew, who were given a walkover by Cropredy.
