MP Sports Cherwell League - Divs 6-10

Horspath 4th secured the Division 10 title by defeating Didcot 4th to complete an incredible season for the village club.

Their five-wicket victory at Didcot ensured all four Horspath sides won their respective leagues.

Hayden Moon took an impressive 7-9 as Didcot were all out for 48.

Derek Watts top-scored with 27 as Horspath got home at 51-5, despite James Bywater’s 3-7.

Division 6 champions Horspath beat Oxford 4th by 52 runs in their final match, while the only blemish for the club was their third team’s 12-run loss to Wallingford 2nd in Division 7.

The best local bowling figures of the final day came from Cumnor 4th’s under 14 Max Mannering.

But the youngster’s 8-62 could not prevent his side suffering a 92-run defeat to Brackley 2nd in Division 9.

Mannering’s haul helped restrict Brackley to 176 all out, Ian Timmis making 62.

However, Cumnor were dismissed for 84.
