SHABAZ Alam returned the incredible figures of 7-6 as Oxford & Bletchingdon Nondescripts cruised into the quarter-finals.
Alam’s haul, which came in just 3.2 overs, ensured Sandford St Martin were all out for 58.
Nondies them romped home by nine wickets to set up a home tie with Great & Little Tew tonight.
The battle of the big guns in the last eight was surprisingly one-sided, with Banbury hammering holders Shipton-under-Wychwood by eight wickets.
Shipton were all out for 61 as spinners Luke Ryan (3-9) and Jimmy Phillips (3-19) led the way. Banbury eased to 62-2.
Banbury will visit Oxford Downs or Oxford in the semi-finals, while Aston Rowant will host Nondies or Tew.
Rowant defeated Cumnor by nine wickets in their quarter-final.
Tom Ingram made 92 and Miles Hammond 38 in Cumnor’s 162-4.
But Josh Smith (73no) and Chris Watling (59no) took Rowant to 164-1 with nine balls to spare.
