RISINGHURST lifted the Telegraph Cup after an enthralling final against Hanborough ended with the scores level at Hook Norton.
But it was Division 3 side Risinghurst who were celebrating, triumphing due to losing fewer wickets.
Batting first, the Oxford-based team were forced to recover from a bad start.
They lost opener Saurabh Mehrotra to the first ball of the second over.
However, Risinhurst went onto post 144-8 in their 45 overs.
This was helped by a second-wicket stand of 55 between Ripon Masih and Kallol Gupta.
Rakesh Nambiar top-scored with 30, while Hanborough’s Richard Brown took 3-26.
Hanborough also lost an early wicket as Rob Lovick fell in the first over.
Aston Leach hit 39 for the west Oxfordshire side, but Martin Kalyan took 4-21 and Manjeet Kumar 3-23 to keep them in check.
With the scores level, Kalyan dramatically took the final wicket, dismissing Hanborough for the same score to seal the cup for Risinghurst.
