The value of Shannon Tubb to champions elect Great Brickhill was demonstrated as he inspired his side's 84-run win over nearest rivals Oxford Downs 2nd in Division 4.

Tubb scored 125 in the visitors' 195 all out, in which Steve Roberts took 4-63 and the next highest scorer made only 19.

Downs managed less than Tubb between them, as they were bowled out for 111.

Aston Rowant 2nd's promotion hopes nosedived after being rolled over for 96 at Banbury Twenty 2nd.

Michael Thomas (4-34), Will Ducker (3-15) and John Lloyd (3-32) all bowled well for Twenty, who struggled against Matt Needham (3-38) before limping to 98-6.

Gus Shrimpton took 6-50 for Cumnor 2nd in an inspired 21-over spell, but his side still suffered a 23-run defeat at Stokenchurch.

The home side struggled to 141 before being bowled out, with only Joe Brown getting going, but Eshan Ul Haq then took 6-58 as Cumnor went from 118-7 to 118 all out.

Shipton-under-Wychwood 2nd look doomed after they failed to beat fellow strugglers Kimble.

Christian Brain hit 71 to take Shipton to 207-7, while Ali Russel took 4-88, and the loss of five early wickets gave the hosts a sniff . But Adam Swan (44no) and Sam Agace (34no) steered Kimble to 182-5.
