Oxfordshire Under 16s’ tour to the Jersey Festival proved a damp squib as four of their five games were abandoned In their one completed match against Jersey, Oxon proved a class above their hosts.
Batting first on a wet pitch, Oxon rattled up 169-7 in their 50 overs. Jordan Garrett led the way with 84, while Graham Beer hit 32 not out.
Left-arm seamer Ross Packham the pick of the bowlers with 3-14 from 8.4 overs as Jersey fell for 108.
