FOOTBALL: Abingdon are fogged off

Abingdon United’s Evo-Stik Southern League Division 1 South & West game at Swindon Supermarine last night was abandoned at half-time due to fog with the visitors trailing 2-0.
The kick-off was delayed 15 minutes due to the poor visibility.
And when the game did get under way, United fell behind after eight minutes to an Ashley Edenborough goal.
It got worse for Abingdon in the 24th minute when Chris Taylor notched Supermarine’s second.
However, conditions deteriorated and the referee abandoned the match at half-time.
