FOOTBALL: It's five on the spin for North Leigh

NORTH Leigh bagged their fifth Evo-Stik Southern League win in a row with a 2-1 success at Tiverton Town last night.

Jacob Walcott’s deflected strike put the visitors ahead after 18 minutes of the Division 1 South & West clash.

Ryan Brooks made it 2-0 four minutes later.

Tiverton striker Michael Nardiello pulled one back on 33 minutes and they hit a post near the end.

Abingdon United lost 2-1 at home to Yate Town.

Michael Meaker’s shot deflected off Mike Bryant to put Yate ahead on 18 minutes, but Gareth Thomas headed home an equaliser in the second half.

Abingdon goalkeeper James Foster slipped as he tried to deal with a backpass, allowing Scott Wilson to slot home.

Didcot Town look to avoid a fifth straight defeat when they visit Swindon Supermarine tonight.
